The presidential election petition’s court have withdrawn the petition case submitted by Peter Obi on the 6th of September 2023.
The case which contains 5 prayers was ruled against during the ongoing judgement by the presidential elections petition court.
While the case contains a challenge against the person of the current president Bola Tinubu saying he was seen to have committed a crime and forfeiter a bogus sum of money in the US for proceeds of drug trafficking.

Another point in the petition was on the double nomination of Kashim Shettima, who was the Vice Presidential candidate in the elections.
The PEPC ruled that they have no jurisdiction in political party affairs and struck off the case for lack of merit.
Similarly, the discrepancy as regarding the status of the 25% of lawful votes cast in the FCT was thrown out. The court says FCT is like every other state and has no special status.
Whether Peter Obi would proceed to appeal the judgement at the Supreme Court is yet unknown right now, but the judgement had been made in favour of the APC and Bola Tinubu.
