Frank Nweke Withdraws Petition Against Mbah At Enugu Governorship Tribunal

  • Frank Nweke of APGA withdraws from the Enugu Governorship Petition Tribunal. 
  • Says it was necessary in order to reduce the workload on the judges. 

The election which took place on the 18th of March 2023 at enugu state have seen a legal contention from major political parties over the months. One of those parties is All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) who have been at the Enugu State Governorship Petition Tribunal since April.

APGA whose candidate in the election was Frank Nweke scored 17,983 votes have withdrawn his petition at the tribunal against Peter Mbah of the PDP who had 160,895 votes.

It was necessary to withdraw the petition to reduce workload

He said he withdrew the petition to reduce the workload of the Tribunal.

Meanwhile, others like the Labour Party are still in contention in the court as they believed they won the elections.
