A Vessel caught stealing crude oil products have been arrested on Saturday.
The vessle which was said to have stolen up to 150,000 litres of crude oil was caught by a private security operative in the early hours of Saturday.
The captain of the vessel said someone whose name is “Uwa” chartered the vessel and sent someone onboard to a oversee the operation.

Meanwhile the leader of the security operatives who carried out the arrest, said the vessel was captured around Ondo state.
He said the vessel was arrest about 10 years ago and handed over to the law enforcement but it somehow escaped.
He further said the vessel’s name was changed and registered it internationally as a Nigerian flagship.
He then reiterated that there is no document that recognizes the vehicle as Nigerian vessel, according to their investigation.

The private security leader then confirmed that it is actually a Togolese registered ship being operated by Nigerians.
He went on to say there should be a proper investigation to find out those who own the vessels and they should be made to face the wrath of the law.
