The governor of Enugu state, Peter Mbah, has said that the federal government needs to give the federal roads to the state for proper monitoring and maintenance.
He said this while visiting a collapsed bridge in the Enugu-Port Harcourt expressway in the state.
He said that the current mode of maintenance of such roads which is domiciled in the hands of the federal government needs to be changed as it is no longer working.

He also implored the users of the collapsed bridge to do with alternative roads for now.
