Opemipo Olawale Adeniyi founded the independent online journal Naija News on the 17th of November 2016, with its headquarters in Nigeria.
The website is published by Polance Media Limited. It features a variety of categories ranging from People and Politics, Love and Romance, Business, Entertainment, Life Style, and Technology.
At the time of its commencement, the headquarters of Naija News was located in Ilorin, Kwara State in Nigeria. However, in 2021, the company moved its business activities to Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital, in order to better serve the Nigerian audience.

Achievement Of Naija News
In June 2019, Naija News introduced a Hausa-language news section. This move was aimed at disseminating news reports to the Hausa-speaking people in Nigeria, Niger, Ghana, and the rest of the Hausa-speaking people all over the world.
The online newspaper began a project in 2021, called “EcoWatch” an initiative that covers news on climate change information, mitigation action, deforestation, flooding, and waste management in Nigeria.
The News agency moved to collaborate with Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) as well as other environmental organizations, to promote the goal of educating Nigerians about climate change and its negative implications on the environment.
