The president of the Alaba International Market Association of Electronics, Camillus Amajuoyi, had said that the Alaba market demolition have pushed people out of business.
He further said that the majority of those who were pushed out of business have currently suffering, and their families in severe hardship as an aftermath of the demolition.

While speaking to the reporters at Arise News, he also revealed that he and other Alaba International Market traders invited the President General of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu to the location of the demolition.

He explained how Chief Iwuanyanwu had gone through a heavy traffic to answer their call.
Iwuanyanwu Hold Talks With The Lagos State Government
According to Amajuoyi, Iwuanyanwu promised to hold talks with the Lagos state government.
Which he did as he marched straight to the office of the governor where he had a discussion on the issue with Governor Babjide Sanwo-olu.
The Committee Setup Has No Alaba Market Trader As A Member
Amajuoyi had gone on to claim that no alaba market trader is a member of the committee setup to mediate the issue.

He said there have been a number of discrepancies emanating from the committee as they are unaware of what the issues really are.
“All these people talking on our behalf are not speaking for us” he said.
The Demolition Is Not Political But As A Result Of Interest.
Amajuoyi said the traders in Alaba do not generally have the conviction that the demolition was political, but interest motivated.
He said some developer who have acquired the land and have vested interest in the land are the ones who had pushed for this.
